You’re amazing but… I’ve fallen behind.
So, there’s been a fair amount of dinosaur happenings and amazingness during and since the holidays that I have been remiss in sharing. I will eventually catch up. At least that is what I always tell myself about nearly everything. But I have to start somewhere.
And the linked blog birthday card and the accompanying gifts (below) are...
17 layer cake
It’s almost my birthday.
Which I love. I like to decorate for it, celebrate it, set goals and acknowledge the chance to dance. This year, I’m planning my own dinner party. I’m combining all of my favorite things- planning, organizing, cooking, good food, great people. And the chance to dance.
A few months ago, I decided that I also wanted to make the cake that defined my...

Goat on a Cow Dance!
This adaptation of our “Goat on a Cow” story is so beautiful it made Robert cry—he broke into tears at his desk, as he describes to the New York Times. The dance was directed and choreographed by Andrew Palermo, with additional choreography by Taye Diggs, as a workshop created in Pace University’s Performance Lab.

As I listen to “Naked as we Came”, of course loving it, I realize that at some point you must get tired of singing the same songs, right? Even if they’re lovely.
Not that I’ve heard it too many times, or that the world has played it too many times, but if it is your voice singing it so often, your throat and mouth must get tired and your brain a little bit disinterested in...

This is why you're the best ever
Sarah and I have a history. I like friends where I can say that, her in particular because our story has depth and is filled with understanding and hilarious misunderstandings. We dance to terrible songs (that’s what makes them not-so-terrible) and follow them up with bouts of leaping.
We dialogue via text about a need for more french fries in our life, go to the Academy to admire the...

New, too.
I like the idea of a new year. Of resolutions and doing it better this time. Of making room and time, ceasing inactivity, making a fresh start. But it’s the doing where I get stuck. I’m too comfortable in my laziness, I wallow in my guilt and forget about how good I feel when I’ve accomplished.
So this year, I’d like to do. I’ve spent the last few years trying...
